Democrats Promoting Anti-Semitism

President Donald Trump is working to repair America’s relationship with Israel, relationship that was severely damaged by the Obama presidency. Among the problems Obama left was an empowered Iran. We see what Iran is doing in Syria and Lebanon… and we ought, if we have a modicum of intellectual integrity, to give full blame to Barack Obama.

Most Americans knew that Obama has spent decades at the feet of an anti-Semitic hate-America preacher. They note that he gave an twenty minute speech denouncing Rev. Jeremiah Wright and imagine, in a sign of limitless and mindless gullibility, that he did the right and courageous thing. It never crossed their minds that anyone who has been indoctrinated for twenty years in black liberation theology does not toss it aside in twenty minutes. Indoctrination produces habits of thought. Undoing them takes years of hard work. To imagine that Obama was a friend of Israel is to defy reason. Anyone who thought so should win the next Oscar for gullibility.

Anyway, Jeremiah Wright comes from the same fetid swamps as does Rev. Louis Farrakhan, an unabashed anti-Semitic Chicago hate preacher, leader of something called the Nation of Islam. As it happens, Wright and Farrakhan are good friends. They run events together. It takes very little imagination to see that they are cut from the same cloth.

Now, it turns out that Farrakhan, who joined Jeremiah Wright in mostly keeping out of the limelight during the Obama administration—the better not to embarrass Wright’s protégé—has now come back into public consciousness, a revenant who counts as America’s most important and influential anti-Semite.

More than a few members of the Congressional Black Caucus have happily been pictured in Farrakhan’s company. Among them then Senator Barack Obama. And one understands that the Congressional Black Caucus, in a show of solidarity with the Jewish voters who have always actively supported the civil rights movement, boycotted a Congressional speech by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. With friends like that….

Now, Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism is back in the public eye, to the general embarrassment of Democrats, especially the black Democrats who have happily embraced him.

Rich Lowry explains that the Democratic Party now has an anti-Semitism problem:

At his annual Saviours’ Day conference in Chicago last weekend, the Nation of Islam leader boasted, “And Farrakhan, by God’s grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew, and I’m here to say your time is up, your world is through.”

Farrakhan is as immodest as he is anti-Semitic. He may seem like yesterday’s Jew-hater, since he could never gather the kind of crowds he did for the so-called Million Man March in Washington, D.C., 20 years ago. Yet he still has a following. Thousands showed up to hear him spew his usual garbage during his Saviours’ Day speech, including one of the organizers of the Women’s March.

The CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, calls Farrakhan “quite possibly, the most popular anti-Semite in America today.” Certainly, the haters of the alt-right don’t measure up. The white nationalist Richard Spencer would surely love to get Farrakhan’s crowds and have such a relatively robust institutional presence and publishing operation, let alone manage to maintain influence with more mainstream figures.

Are leftists and their media defenders rushing out to denounce this virulent anti-Semite? With one exception, they are ignoring Farrakhan:

Just as mainstream conservatives must ostracize the alt-right, the center-left should guard against progressives making excuses for Farrakhan. With the exception of Jake Tapper of CNN, though, the media has ignored the latest eruption of the Farrakhan story.

As a reminder of how much this hygiene is necessary, Rep. Danny K. Davis of Illinois popped up to justify his relationship with Farrakhan. He told the website The Daily Caller, “The world is so much bigger than Farrakhan and the Jewish question and his position on that and so forth.” Could anyone say this about David Duke and remain in office?

The Daily Caller provides more information on Farrakhan’s Congressional friends. Among them, Keith Ellison, the deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Peter Hasson writes for the Daily Caller:

California Reps. Maxine Waters and Barbara Lee, Illinois Rep. Danny Davis, Indiana Rep. Andre Carson, Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, New York Rep. Gregory Meeks and Texas Rep. Al Green have all attended meetings with Farrakhan while in Congress,

Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), repeatedly attended meetings with Farrakhan while in Congress, according to photos and videos reviewed by TheDCNF and Farrakhan’s own statements.

Ellison is a former Nation of Islam member and once defended Farrakhan against claims of anti-Semitism but claimed in 2006 when he ran for Congress that he had left Farrakhan in his past. The meetings Ellison has since attended with Farrakhan undercut his claims of cutting ties.

Rep. Danny Davis offered this lame rationalization of Ellison’s relationship with Farrakhan:

Davis compared Ellison’s relationship to Farrakhan to that of a fallen-away Christian’s relationship with Jesus, in his interview with TheDCNF on Sunday.

“I don’t know that Keith knows Farrakhan as well as I do — in fact, I know he doesn’t,” Davis said. “I don’t think that Keith is no person who is super engaged with Farrakhan, he just happens to be a movement. Just like many of the folks who are Christians, they’re not super engaged with Jesus, but they say they Christians.”

Evidently, the remarks are syntactical gibberish.

And then there is Rep. Maxine Waters, another great defender of Farrakhan:

Waters attended a Nation of Islam convention in 2002, where Farrakhan railed against Jews and defended Palestinian suicide bombers, The Daily Caller revealed in February. Farrakhan praised Waters during his speech, to applause from the audience of Nation of Islam members.

Recently re-emerged footage from 2006 show Waters, Green and Lee exchanging handshakes and hugs with Farrakhan, before standing and conversing with him.

What else do they need?

Do you think this will make any difference to my fellow Tribe members? They will keep mindlessly pulling the "D" lever forever. If Hitler came back and were non-white, they'd be lining up for the gas chambers and fighting for first place in line.

Is anyone surprised by this?

Off Topic : Hello Stuart - I've read your blog for a good while - thank you.
I still have bookmarked your most excellent "Had too much Therapy" post January after Trump.
.
You may find this discussion < www.researchgate.net/post/Is_it_time_to_rethink_psychiatry_from_scratch > a confirmation of what I understand to be your own view of psychology/therapy as mostly pseudoscience.
I'd been researching dopamine/serotonin/cortisol < www.researchgate.net/post/How_do_serotonin_and_dopamine_interact >, but I then stumbled upon this psychologyconversation through a submittal from the very prolific academic Vahid R. His response was the most concrete.
The range of topics Vahid covers is fascinating, though frequently well above my head! < www.researchgate.net/profile/Vahid_Rakhshan >
Take Care, Mike Dee

What does Ellison say?
http://www.startribune.com/u-s-rep-keith-ellison-again-faces-questions-about-louis-farrakhan-relationship/474324603 February 17, 2018
"I disavow anti-Semitism and bigotry in all of its forms."

Why is that not sufficient?

Because only a fool would take Ellison at his word. A man is measured by his deeds and that man’s actions tell you all you need to know.

Let's not forget the company he keeps... talk is cheap and we do not expect honesty from a Farrakhan protege.

Ares Olympus is an anti-Semite, and a leftist Democrat par excellence. And naturally someone who thinks he’s open minded. Fits the modern D profile perfectly, ass and all.
