"Bibliophile Porn Star...."

You recall that Jezebel scribe Erin Gloria Ryan got nauseous watching a slide show of attractive and healthy Olympian female bodies.

Pictures of women wearing what a normal woman would wear to the beach or the gym offended Ryan’s feminist sensibilities. She declared it to be semi-porn and confessed that it wanted to make her barf.

I’m sure you were asking yourself, as I was, how the feminist scolds at Jezebel would want the female body and feminine sexuality to be portrayed.

Today we get a hint, from Jezebel’s sister website, Gawker.

OK, Stoya is not wearing a bikini. She is modestly clothed. She is not engaged in athletic competition. And besides, she is doing it for art.

Would this image of female sensuality that would whet Erin Gloria Ryan’s feminist appetite?

Does Ryan believe that this art work helps young women develop a positive body image?

I report, you decide.

Stuart, You know I love your blog ... but you hit one of my pet peeves today. "Nauseous" means nausea-inducing. I think you mean "nauseated" (feeling like you have to puke). But given that we are discussing a feminist, I could be wrong.

I just checked, and it seems that the work can mean both....

Stuart, I marvel at the patience and endurance it must require to fully digest such "feminist" tripe. The modern feminist academy is populated with vacuous intellectuals whose only conditions of membership are: (a) they must be womyn above all else, (b) they must hate men, and/or (c) they must adopt the value system of the materialist male. Any one of these items, taken individually or in combination, will ensure them a miserable existence as victims, which they are duty-bound to project onto others. It seems like a very sad existence. I fear for their sanity.

I have come to the conclusion that people such as Erin Gloria Ryan simply hate humanity. I'm not much interested in the labels or descriptors any longer (postmodernist, environmentalist, deconstructionist, anarchist, et cetera). Such persons loathe human nature and human reason. They refuse to see the beauty in the human form, instead choosing to see it as an exploited sack of protoplasm. With no faith in anything but their emotional reactions, they're left to their lonesome to endlessly complain about how awful the rest of their fellow human beings are. Pathetic, actually.
